SENIOR TRIAL EVENTS:

Practical Data Gathering

Teams will perform a series of lab activities that require the students to gather data and calculate a specific value.

Propeller Propulsion

Participants will construct and test up to two rubber (band) motor powered propeller driven airplane in advance of the tournament. The flight time of each airplane will be measured and recorded.

Reach for the Stars

Students will demonstrate an understanding of the principles of astronomy, space flight, interpretation of photos, charts and diagrams, Isaac Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation and his three laws of motion, planetary exploration, and the life and death of stars and the solar system.

Say It Again

The objective is to have a team member describe a science term or concept by providing verbal clues and not saying the word(s).
