Grades 7 & 8 Language Arts & Mathematics

The Details

The grade 7 & 8 Language Arts & Mathematics summer program is an optional upgrading program financed by the Ministry of Education to provide support for students who have recently completed these grades. (Summer School may not be appropriate for the success of identified students who receive modifications or accommodations to their program during the school year. As summer school is an optional program, additional support for identified students is not always available.) Please note that ALL students must bring a copy of their final report card the first day of class.

When & Where?

• July 2, 3 & 6-23, 2009 (no Fridays except July 3) at the following locations:
  
  • Pine Ridge SS, 2155 Liverpool Road North, Pickering
  • R.S. McLaughlin CVI, 570 Stephenson Road North Oshawa
  • Sinclair SS, 380 Taunton Road East, Whitby

  Language arts session - 8:30 am to 11:20 am
  Mathematics session - 11:40 am - 2:30 pm

   

• June 30, July 2, 3 & 6-16, 2009 (no Fridays except July 3) at the following location:
  • Port Perry HS, 160 Rosa Street, Port Perry

  Language arts session - 8:30 am to 11:20 am
  Mathematics session - 11:40 am - 2:30 pm
  

Fees?

$10.00 non-refundable registration fee per session.

Transportation?

Buses will be available again this year for the Grade 7 & 8 Language Arts and Mathematics Program only.

Bus transportation will be available before the language arts session in the morning and after the mathematics session in the afternoon and a schedule will be issued at the time of registration. Students requesting a half-day program are responsible for mid-day transportation.
