At Durham Continuing Education we can help you organize Career Planning and Research.

You can choose a one-hour, one-on-one career consultation appointment with a counsellor or chose one of the following career assessments:

Consultation appointment fee: $50.00 (for a one-hour consultation)
Document Evaluation: $50.00 minimum
Fees vary with the assessment chosen from the following:

  • COPSystem (Career Occupational Preference System) - a pencil & paper assessment tool that identifies interests, abilities, and values and relates them to occupational choices - approximately 5 hours (Fee: $175.00)
  • The Self-Directed Search - a pencil & paper career assessment to identify possible career matches - approximately 1 hour (Fee: $50.00)
  • Personality Dimensions - a group personality identification workshop that is interactive and fun to enhance work and personal relationships - 2 to 3 hours (Fee: varies with size of group; corporate rates available)
  • CAAT (Canadian Adult Achievement Test) - measures academic achievement for purposes of career or educational planning; also may be a requirement for some college applications - approximately 4 hours for testing and debriefing (Fee: $75.00)
