Total Population by Sex and Age Groups in the Township of Scugog

This population pyramid displays the comparison of males to females. It is categorized by age groups and the total of people in that age group by sex. The blue represents the male population and the red represents the female population.

In the ages 19 - 30 there is a lack of population. More females leave than males, but it's close. The majority of these people leave home to go into the city for schooling, or jobs.

Ages 30 - 45 there are the most amount of people because they return to raise families. This is a great place to raise a family because it is close to a city, but a quiet place to live. More women return than males.

The elderly people, ages 65+, start to decrease in population, but there are more females because the life expectancy of women is longer than males.
